about

When we got married, we decided to live in the Gaza envelope area out of a sense of mission and pioneering in the 21st century. Life in the Gaza envelope is both amazing and complex. On one hand, it is a piece of paradise to raise children, live meaningful lives within wonderful communities. On the other hand, there are difficulties with missile threats and the sounds of war. But I always tried to look at everything with pride.

And that’s where the idea came from to create something symbolic from a weapon that tried to harm us. Despite the attempts to destroy us, we will remain here because this is our land and homeland, the land that was promised to us since the days of Moses. Despite the challenges, we have lost dear friends, beloved neighbors… we are still here.

The story of the people of Israel and the State of Israel will not end. Today, I proudly wear a necklace made from fragments, proving to myself and the world that I am still here.

Our Story:

Hello, I am Shiran Harush, married to Yedidya and mother of four children. For over a decade, I have been creating jewelry from fragments of Qassam rockets that were fired at Israel. But the story doesn’t start there; our story is the Israeli story.

I grew up on Air Force bases with my father, who was a career officer. All my life, I absorbed Israeli pride and love for heritage and the country. My husband Yedidya grew up in Gush Katif (an area within the Gaza Strip that Israel decided to disengage from in 2005, returning it to the Arabs in the hope that it might bring peace). Since birth, Yedidya was raised on Zionist and idealistic values. His love for the State of Israel proved itself in the complex settlement in the Gaza Strip.
